DESCRIPTION:

Patient is a 45 year old mother of two children who was diagnosed with left breast invasive ductal carcinoma and genetic testing is positive for BRCA 1. She desires to be larger than her current size. She elected to undergo bilateral nipple sparing mastectomy. Her breast reconstruction journey involves two stages.


Stage 1: Bilateral nipple sparing mastectomy and immediate reconstruction with tissue expander through incisions in the breast folds. The margins on the left breast was positive in the inner quadrant which required a reexicison of the breast skin


Stage 2: Bilateral tissue expander removal and placement of permanent implants in prepectoral pocket (above the muscle)



Implants Right breast Mentor moderate plus silicone gel implant 405 cc and left breast mentor moderate plus 375 cc. This is a 3 years results
